Support the Program

The Hope-Western Prison Education Program is committed to providing an education at no cost to students enrolled in the program.

Program costs are covered through federal student aid, state funding through the Michigan Department of Corrections, and the generosity of individuals who partner with us to achieve the program’s mission.

“This has been a gift for me and all of my colleagues. No one has ever blessed us with such a gift. I can never repay this, there’s no way to. But I’ll spend the rest of my life trying”
—Alvin, 2025 graduate
