HopeHealth Benefit
All full-time students enrolled in 12+ credits receive the Hope Health Benefit. Part-time students may utilize the Health Center but will be billed for services.
Currently enrolled full-time Hope students pay nothing for most primary care and specialist visits at the Health Center. The student activities fee paid as part of tuition helps both to fund clinical services and to promote health and wellness at Hope College.
Aside from primary care and specialist visits, students and/or their personal health insurance may be billed for other services. Out-of-pocket expense depends on what kind of care you may need and your insurance plan. Health insurance plans vary a great deal and may cover only part of the costs at Hope’s Student Health Center. You can call the customer service line on the back of your insurance card to review coverage and benefits. Hope Health Center is also able to get discounted testing rates at Holland Hospital and can provide cash prices if you’d prefer not to use your insurance or bill them later.
We strive to keep our supply costs competitive and offer the lowest prices possible — many of our medications and test charges are below standard pricing.
