Hope College Students Host 24-Hour Annual Dance Marathon to Benefit Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital
Hope students are ready to roll – and rock – for the 26th annual 24-hour Dance Marathon at the Dow Center on campus, planning to raise more than $300,000 for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
Hope College to Host Unified Hope vs. Faculty Basketball Game March 10
Hope College’s Unified Hope student organization, a Special Olympics Michigan chapter, will host its first Unified Hope vs. Hope College faculty/staff basketball game on Tues., March 10, at 7 p.m. in the DeVos Fieldhouse. This event is free and open to the public.
Remembering Professor Fred Johnson
The Hope College community is deeply mourning the loss of Professor Fred Johnson III, a beloved history department faculty member, who passed away peacefully Feb. 27 after suffering a cardiac arrest last week.

Small Campus Has Big Hearts
Hope College’s 12th annual Day of Giving took place Feb. 19 and 20 during a fundraising frenzy, just shy of their goal of 2,000 participating donors.
Sen. Chang Presents Women’s History Month Lecture on March 16 at Hope
Michigan Senator Stephanie Chang, the first Asian-American woman elected to the Michigan legislature, will present a lecture titled “Identity, Activism and Advancing Change for Women and Girls,” during Hope College’s annual Women’s History Month lecture. Sen. Chang will address audiences on Monday, March 16 at 3:30 p.m. in the recital hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free.
Truth Unites Founder Dr. Gavin Ortlund To Speak at Hope College as part of Nicene Creed Anniversary Programming
Hope is extending its recognition of the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed into 2026, hosting a unique and free event on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Dimnent Chapel that will include a lecture by Dr. Gavin Ortlund of Truth Unites, a congregational hymn and Q&A with Hope College President Matt Scogin.
Hope Designated as “Top Producing Institution” of Fulbright U.S. Students
The Fulbright Program recognized Hope College for being one of 96 colleges and universities nationwide with the highest number of students and recent alumni selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
