Hope College’s Megan Klintworth has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Golfer of the Week for rounds played through Oct. 11.
The freshman from Jackson, Michigan, (Hanover-Horton HS), put together rounds of 77 and 74 to win tournament medalist honors and clinch the individual season medalist title last week.
Klintworth led the Flying Dutch to a first-place finish at the MIAA’s 36-hole season-ending tournament at Bedford Valley Country Club. Hope won the event and clinched its seventh league championship all-time.
It’s the first MIAA Player of the Week honor in Klintworth’s career.
