Staffing

The Hope College Library relies heavily on classroom faculty for the recommendation of materials to be added to their subject areas in the collection. Faculty are encouraged to work with their liaison librarian to maintain the relevance and overall strength of the collections in their discipline.

Librarians act as liaisons to the departments and are available to help assist in the selection of library materials. The liaison librarians may attend department meetings to help build relationships with the faculty and discuss library-related issues concerning their subject areas. The liaisons serve as contact persons for the department members when they have any questions or suggestions regarding the library.
