Elizabeth serves as the director of digital communications in the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing. She previously held the role of digital strategist for seven years at Hope. 

Her background is in leading successful multichannel communication and marketing campaigns across the web, social media and traditional media placement. At Hope, Elizabeth manages the college’s digital communications team, institutional social media accounts, digital advertising, and serves as a communications consultant to campus partners. She also serves as the culture communication and engagement facilitator for Hope's Culture Action Team.  

Elizabeth started her career in 2002 as a newspaper reporter at the state capitol covering the State of Michigan government for various news organizations. She later gained extensive experience in marketing and advertising while working as an agency account manager, small business owner, and as a volunteer in the non-profit world, including higher education. Elizabeth has served on the board of directors for Pioneer Resources and the TEDxMuskegon steering committee.

Outside the college

Elizabeth's hobbies include sailboat racing on Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan, traveling to northern Michigan, hunting for treasures at estate sales and thrift stores, and cooking for her friends and family. She enjoys talking about music, current events and sailing.
